Road Advisory – Extreme Weather

Published 19th October, 6:22pm

In view of the continuing severe weather conditions, residents are advised to refrain from driving tonight unless absolutely necessary.

Areas of concern for drivers include Savannah, at the junction of Pedro Castle and Shamrock roads, which has been flooded with a flow of water from the Pedro's bluff area; at the eastern end of South Road and on Old prospect Road, where some washed up debris is being removed; and at Shamrock Road in the vicinity of the former Mariner's Cove site and at the Half Moon Bay area near East End, where sea water presently covers the road.

With the expectation of continued severe weather overnight, residents in flood-prone areas who may experience difficulty should call 9-1-1 if they require assistance.
