Six Becomes Felix

Overnight, as predicted, tropical depression six became Tropical Storm Felix.

At 10 a.m. local time the storm was located near 12.3 N, 63.6 W. Felix is moving west at 18 mph with maximum sustained winds near 65 mph.

This storm poses no immediate threat to the Cayman Islands. The weather service continues to monitor this system and keeps the National Hurricane Committee advised.
