TS Felix Update

The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida, continues to issue advisories on Tropical Storm Felix.
"Although Tropical Storm Felix currently does not pose an immediate threat, residents of the Cayman Islands are urged to check their personal preparedness plans, and replenish any supplies that may have been used during Dean," points out Dr. Barbara Carby, director of the recently formed Hazard Management Cayman Islands (HCMI).
At 4 p.m. the storm was located near 12.7 N, 65.3 W or 1160 miles southeast of Grand Cayman. Felix is moving west at 18 mph with maximum sustained winds near 70 mph.
The National Hurricane Committee and the HMCI will continue to monitor Felix closely.
