Warning Remains for Sister Islands

- The Sister Islands may get 1.50 to 2.0 inches of rain from Sunday morning through Monday morning, causing flooding of low-lying areas.
- Seas in the Cayman Islands area will be rough, especially in the Sister Islands. Wave heights of 5 to 7 feet are expected, especially near the Sister Islands and around heavy showers.
- TS Fay is 95 miles northeast of the Sister Islands. Fay is moving west-northwest near 13 mph, with maximum sustained winds near 50 mph.
Advice to local population:
- Cayman Islands residents should maintain a state of readiness. Those residing in low-lying areas should exercise caution.
- All marine interests in the Sister Islands should seek safe harbor on Sunday, and remain there.
- All residents should continue to monitor the progress of Tropical Storm Fay.

- In addition to the above information, Tropical Storm Fay was located near or about 20.5 N, 78.6 W.
- The large area of cloudiness and thunderstorm associated with this system is expected to spread across the Cayman Islands by early afternoon. Our Islands can expect overcast skies with intermittent heavy showers and thundershowers, leading to flooding of low-lying areas.
- Northerly winds of 10 to 15 knots are expected to persist today, shifting to the south tonight and tomorrow. Higher gusts are expected during squally conditions in and around heavy showers.
