Debris Disposal:
A grab truck cleanup crew is working in the Spot Bay area throughout today (Saturday 15 November). Residents are asked to place their debris at curbside, pre-sorted into metal, vegetation and construction waste piles. In addition:
- Residents are reminded not to burn tree limbs or other debris.
- Persons with suitable transportation can also drop off vegetation debris at the lot opposite Scott’s Quarry.
Generator Use:
Cayman Brac and Little Cayman residents are again reminded to take every safety precaution when using generators. These include:
- Follow the instructions that come with your generator.
- Never operate a generator indoors.
- Never store gasoline or other fuels indoors, or near fuel-burning appliances such as natural-gas water heaters.
- Remember to top up oil, to prevent generator burn out.
- Always turn off the generator before refueling.
- Do not allow children to operate, or be in contact with, your generator.
