Remnants of Ana

Weather charts indicate that a trough (Remnants of Ana) over Jamaica is moving west at 20 to 25 mph. Satellite pictures show an associated area of cloudiness and thundershowers. The trough and associated weather will move across the Cayman area late tonight.

The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida is issuing advisories on Hurricane Bill, which at 4 p.m. was located near 16.6 N 52.1.2 W or about 635 miles east of the Leeward Islands. Bill is moving towards the west-northwest near 17 mph with maximum sustained winds near 110 mph.

This storm poses no immediate threat to the Cayman Islands.
