Erika Weakens to a Tropical Depression

Tropical Depression Erika

The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida has downgraded Tropical Storm Erika to a Tropical Depression, which at 4 p.m. was located near 16.7 N 65.3 W or 130 miles south-southeast of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Erika is moving west at 12 mph with maximum sustained winds near 35 mph.

THIS STORM POSES NO IMMEDIATE THREAT TO THE CAYMAN ISLANDS.
