Tropical Storm Tomas

At 4 a.m. the National Hurricane Center in Miami Florida issued an advisory on Tropical Storm Tomas. Tropical Storm Tomas was located near 13.8 N 67.7 W or about 135 miles NE of Curacao. Tomas was moving towards the west near 14 mph with max sustained winds near 50 mph.

This storm poses no immediate threat to the Cayman Islands; however, all interests within the Cayman Islands should continue to monitor the progress of this storm as the current forecast track places TS Tomas over the south coast of Haiti and E of Jamaica Friday morning.
