Special Bulletin Hurricane Tomas

The National Hurricane Center in Miami Florida is issuing advisories on Hurricane Tomas, which at 10 a.m. was located near 19.1 N 74.4 W or about 90 miles southeast of Guantanamo, Cuba. Tomas is currently moving towards the north-northeast near 12 mph with max sustained winds near 85 mph.

THIS STORM POSES NO IMMEDIATE THREAT TO THE CAYMAN ISLANDS. However, all interests within the Cayman Islands should continue to monitor the progress of this storm. The current forecast track continues to move Tomas towards the northeast at an increase speed. Tomas is expected to cross the Turks and Caicos Islands early tomorrow morning.
